Income and expenditure are indications of the living standard of households. It makes it possible to measure the purchasing power of the population and, consequently, whether or not it has easy access to goods and services such as housing, capital goods, food, etc.
BISA offers a series of quantified data on household incomes and expenditure, based on several sources:
- Fiscal statistics on income (Statistics Belgium);
- Household budget survey (Statistics Belgium);
- Household income accounts and final consumption expenditure (National Accounts Institute);
- Salaries (National Accounts Institute, NAI)
