This month, six themes were been updated with the latest available figures

Firstly, the Nationalities figures under the theme Population now also include the 2017 data.

Under the theme Household income and expenditure, ten new tables provide an overview of the data the National Accounts Institute, in collaboration with the regions, compiled on the regional distribution of households’ final consumption expenditure, the extension of households’ annual income and the household saving ratio.

Under the theme Labour market, the sub-themes Employed population and Employment characteristics were brought up to date with the 2016 statistics on the self-employed and paid employment by place of residence.

All the Research and development tables under the Research and technology theme now also contain the 2014 and 2015 statistics based on the R&D surveys, including the 2016 government budget outlays or appropriations for R&D.

Under Land-use planning and real estate theme, the land occupancy tables were updated with the 2016 and 2017 figures while the 2007-2014 data were revised.

The 2017 figures were incorporated into the Building stock, Housing stock, Garages, Indoor or open-air car parks tables.

The real estate sales tables, for their part, now also contain the 2015 and 2016 figures (with the exception of the building land figures) while the 2005-2014 data were revised.

Finally, the land-use tables (surface area of plots registered with the Land Registry by type) under the theme Environment and Energy, were updated with the 2016 and 2017 figures while the 2007-2014 data were revised.

The sub-theme Environment and society now also includes the 2016 figures on the waste collected by Bruxelles-Propreté.

Under the Energy section, the 2014 and 2015 figures were incorporated into the Brussels Energy balances tables. Furthermore, the entire historical series was revised.
