Discover the latest edition of Focus, which has just been published by the BISA (Brussels Institute for Statistics and Analysis)

In 2015, research and development (R&D) activities employed 12,117 people[1] in the Brussels-Capital Region, including 8,752 researchers. Researchers represent three out of four R&D jobs in Brussels. Who are these researchers? What are the characteristics of this R&D staff, which has grown more than 40% between 2010 and 2015?
