Watermael-Boitsfort

Watermael-Boitsfort (12.9 km2, 8 % of the regional territory) is located in the outer ring in the south-west quadrant of the Brussels-Capital Region.

The municipality is bordered by Auderghem to the north-east, by Sint-Genesius-Rode, Hoeilaart and Overijse (Flemish Region) to the south (through the Sonian Forest), by Uccle (Sonian Forest), City of Brussels (Square des Nations) and Ixelles to the west.

Because of the Sonian Forest, which covers a considerable part of the municipality’s territory and is uninhabited, the many other green areas and private gardens, Watermael-Boitsfort is the least densely populated municipality in the Region.
