Saint-Gilles (2.5 km2, 1.6 % of the regional territory) is a small, highly densely populated municipality.

It is bordered by the City of Brussels (the Pentagon to the north and avenue Louise to the east), Ixelles to the east, Forest to the south and Anderlecht to the west.
