Molenbeek-Saint-Jean (5.9 km2, 4 % of the regional territory) is a municipality located in the west of the Brussels-Capital Region.

It is bordered by the City of Brussels (Laeken), Jette, Koekelberg and Berchem-Sainte-Agathe to the north, by the canal and the centre of the City of Brussels to the east, by Anderlecht to the south and by Dilbeek (Flemish Region) to the west.
