Anderlecht (17.7 km2, 11 % of the regional territory) is a municipality located in the western part of the Brussels-Capital Region and is bordered to the north by Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, to the east by the City of Brussels and Saint-Gilles, to the south by Forest and Sint-Pieters-Leeuw (Flemish Region) and to the west by Dilbeek (Flemish Region).
