Compared to the average population of Brussels in 2015, this represents a crude marriage rate of 3.5‰.

The number of marriages recorded in 2015 in the Flemish Region and the Walloon Region respectively amounted to 24,855 (or a crude marriage rate of 3.8‰) and 11,040 (or a crude marriage rate of 3.1‰). 40,049 marriages have therefore been recorded in 2015 in Belgium, corresponding to a crude marriage rate of 3.6‰.
