How many Brussels residents are nationals of a non-European Union Member State only?

Answer: 137,820

Of the 1,187,890 people living in Brussels, 137,820 residents have the nationality of a non-EU country only. 

Morocco, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Turkey, Guinea and Brazil make up the top 5 of the countries of origin.

The greatest rise was noted among the Syrians. Their numbers rose from 2,020 people on 1 January 2015 to 4,030 people on 1 January 2016.
